About the Author
Bridgette Brent Frick is a retired high school principal who is a cooking enthusiast in her pastime. Currently, she serves as a support to her community as an Early Head Start Child Care Partner Project Manager through Total Community Action, Incorporated in New Orleans. She has been happily married to Darril J Frick, Jr. for thirty-four years.
As a native New Orleanian, she was educated in New Orleans Public Schools and received her college and post-graduate degrees from the two outstanding HBCU’s in her local community, both Dillard and Xavier Universities, respectively. Although she has a passion for education and has been involved in education on various levels for thirty-three years, her soul finds pleasure in the kitchen while creating meals that intrigue others and awaken their taste buds with goodness.
Whether it is an intimate party for two, four or a gathering of family/friends filled with as many as her home can accommodate, she is all for it and does not reserve any energy in putting any occasion together in the process. Bridgette truly has an obsession for cooking and finds the greatest pleasure and pure joy in observing and witnessing others as her cuisine is being enjoyed.
Bridgette perceives cooking as an art that allows her to conceptualize a dish, create it with delectable ingredients in her mind, and bring them together with imagination, spices, herbs, and the joy of cooking. Then, it is all done… a masterpiece of a meal that is surely pleasing to any palate is created. Bridgette possesses a gift with a very keen sense, whereby she can taste almost any dish and replicate the dish without having the recipe. She pays attention to the details and is very finicky about what she eats. She is extremely persnickety about how food is prepared, which makes her very particular in what she serves to others, and the presentation of her dishes must be impeccable. Bridgette has been inspired to write this book as a continuation to her first cookbook because of the many compliments received from friends and acquaintances regarding the dishes that she shared and their requests for more recipes. Bridgette authored her first cookbook in December 2020 and sold over 200 copies in less than one week! Her sales continued to soar, and she sold nearly 500 hundred copies in less than one year.
